ORDERS OF THE CELESTIAL HIERARCHY

Seraphim - ("fire makers or carriers of warmth") The highest order of Angels that surround the throne. They were created with perfect and total understanding of the Creator. They represent total peace, contemplation and perennial love. Spirits of love. The seraphim set up the vibration of love, which in turn creates the fires of life. Humans rarely perceive the seraphim, but they can alter their subtle vibrations to be seen, or felt by humans.
Cherubim - ("fullness of knowledge") Second in rank. Often referred to as God's record keepers as well as guardians of the light and stars. Spirits of the harmonies. They guard access to celestial wisdom, which we know as the Akashic Records or the Book of Life. When we seek spiritual knowledge these are the ones that reveal to us what is hidden.
Thrones - Also known as ("ophanim or galgallin"). Forever in presence of God. They symbolize all seeking wisdom and also serve as the court to consider the dispositions of God.Spirits of will.
Dominations - Also known as (dominions, lords and kuriotetes). They regulate duties of angels, govern the physical plane, kingdom of nature and the elements. They also decide what needs to be done to accomplish God's infinite goals.Spirits of Wisdom.
Virtues - ("the shinning ones or the brilliant ones") Beings in charge of granting and providing courage to those who perform deeds of nobility and virtue against all things evil.Spirits of Movement.
Powers -("potentiates, dynamis authorities") These beings act as warrior patrols on alert for the forces of darkness, both in spirit and earth realms. Work to maintain balance between Good and Evil in God's universe. Spirits of Form.
Principalities - (principle powers") They watch over the actions, karmas, and destines of earth beings. They posses the power to govern the rise and fall of respective nations. Also are in charge of religions on earth. Spirits of personality or time.
Archangels - Liaisons between God and man. They are in charge of heaven's armies and battle against hell. Supervisors of guardian angels. Inspire Artistic creations and are in charge of waking all humanity to God and the Path to Him. Free Spirits.
Angels - Beings closest to the material world and serve as holy messengers between humans and God. They intercede taking our prayers to God and return with the answers. They are our guardians, protectors and minister to our needs. They may appear to humans in many different forms. They posses great power and can inspire both fear and awe in those they come in contact with. Sons of Life or Twilight.
